Nestling in the heart of the town of Aubenas, the municipal swimming pool offers a space for swimmers, families and water-lovers alike. Here’s a closer look at Aubenas’ other summer swimming pool.
Aubenas municipal swimming pool
Historically, this was Aubenas’ first swimming pool, before the opening of the Monts et Vallées d’Ardèche aquatic centre, l’Hippocampe.
The open-air facilities include a swimming pool, a fun pool and a toddler pool.
Location and accessibility
The Aubenas municipal swimming pool is located at 43 Rue Georges Couderc, 07200 Aubenas, close to the historic town centre and the main shops.
Line 7 of the Tout’en bus intercommunal network drops you off in front of the swimming pool, which is also just a few minutes’ walk from Place de la Paix.

Equipment and swimming pools
The Aubenas municipal open-air aquatic centre has three pools:
- Sports pool: 25 metres long, 1.80 metres deep, 6 lanes.
- Leisure pool with jacuzzi and circular current
- Pool for small children
In addition, you will also find :
- Shade sails on the main beach
- Snack bar with ice cream
- Half-day deckchair hire
- Changing rooms, lockers (token or €1 coin), showers, toilets
- Men’s and women’s toilets
Management, safety and health
Lifeguards provide supervision. Showering with soap before swimming is compulsory. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Smoking and vaping are not permitted in the pool area.
Please note that the pools are evacuated 15 minutes before the end and the last entry 45 minutes before closing time.
Activities and tournament
Individual and group swimming lessons are available, as well as aqua gym and aqua circuit training. Information and registration:
Once a month, the pool opens in the evening until 8.30pm.
